Pink Gloves Boxing instructor training is coming to UREC on April 29 & 30! 

Training Camps are a grueling, challenging, and fun experience where attendees learn:
• Proper boxing form and technique
• How to hold boxing mitts
• Advanced punch combinations (this is a ton of fun!)
• How to successfully run a Pink Gloves Boxing program & PGB Certification

AFAA Credits: 13 CEU’s. Worth over $400!
ACE Credits: 1.6 CEC's. Worth over $450!

The targeted open date for the Chinook Session 2 fitness classes is early April. Classes that have been held in an alternative spaces will continue there until early April. This includes all Yoga @ 90 classes in the Yoga Lodge, various classes in Smith 115 and 215, and CrossFit in Smith 21.

All Fitness classes that will be housed in the Chinook will be FREE to all Chinook members for Spring Session 2. Pre-registration will not be required and class space will be available on a first come, first serve basis.  Please bring your CougarCard, as participants will be required to swipe in to help us track participation trends. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, we will only allow a set number of participants for each class. Please arrive early to ensure a spot in the class of your choice. Instructors will begin checking in participants 10 minutes before the start of class. 

Additionally, we are offering a prorated Interim/Part-time/Graduate Student Chinook semester membership for Spring semester. Interim/Part-time/Graduate Student may purchase a membership for $60. Please visit our Membership website for more details. Chinook members may continue to utilize the SRC facility at no additional cost through April 1. 

Register for any two fitness or aquatics classes at the same time, and receive a FREE t-shirt plus $10 off your registration. You may also purchase a punch pass and join classes on your schedule

Palouse Throwdown 2017 presented by Washington State University CrossFit - Men's Division

WSU CrossFit presents the third annual "Palouse Throwdown"! The event will take place on Saturday, April 22nd beginning at 10:00am on the Valley Road Playfields on the campus of Washington State University. We welcome all competitors from across the Northwest and beyond! This year's competition will be same sex partners. We will not have Rx & scaled registrations. However, we will have Rx and scaled versions of each workout. If deciding to scale a workout, you will simply be scored less than those who perform the workouts as prescribed. This is very similar to how the CrossFit Open is scored. All participants are guaranteed 3 workouts. Workouts will be released and posted few weeks prior to the event date.
