Washington State University CrossFit is a national CrossFit affiliate. CrossFit is broad, general and inclusive fitness that seeks to prepare participants for any physical or unknown contingency. Classes are designed for those who are seeking to get fit, have a great time, or even compete in the sport of CrossFit. Our WODs (workout of the day) are scaled to your fitness level and appropriate for both beginners and the experienced CrossFitter.
To participate in CrossFit, you will need to be a Chinook member. You can find membership options here.
To participate in CrossFit, you have options:
- Get started with CrossFit Jump Start! This is a week-long beginner focused course with the new CrossFitter in mind. This is a fast on-ramp to CrossFit with lecture, discussion, and coaching the foundation movements of CrossFit. This 5-day course gives you everything you need to be ready to enroll in the Washington State University CrossFit Pass system.
- Purchase the Washington State University CrossFit Pass. The Pass will allow you to attend an unlimited amount of CrossFit classes, including Open Gyms, Intro to CrossFit and WODAsana!Pass holders may attend classes in facilities in which they are members; SRC members may attend classes in Down Under, Chinook members may attend classes at the Chinook.
- Register for an Intro to CrossFit course. These classes are eight weeks long and meet twice a week at a reduced cost from the Pass option. The days of the week depending on which section you register for, please see below for specific days and times. Intro to CrossFit classes are beginner focused with an emphasis on slow progression and movement coaching. We offer Introduction classes in the Chinook, and the Down Under Recreation Center, as well as a Women's Only section!
- Purchase a CrossFit Punch Card. You can get a punch card for 1 class ($8), 5 classes ($40) or 10 classes ($80). If you are not a Chinook member you'll also need to purchase a day pass ($8) each day to use the facility. CrossFit Punch Cards are available for purchase at the front desk in Chinook.
Note: If you are an SRC member and not a Chinook member, you can still purchase the CrossFit Pass. However, you will also need to purchase a day pass ($8) each day to use the facility.
Spring 2018 Session 2 Registration is Now Open!
Spring Session 2 classes will run March 4- April 29
Coaches will begin checking in athletes 10 minutes before the start of class. You may visit our Membership website for more details.
